ESport Term 2
In term 1, Cairns SHS Esports team competed in the FUSE cup for Mario Kart. This competition has been increasing in the region over the last few years and allows students to meet with each other - connecting over an activity that is inclusive and promotes strength, integrity and teamwork.
Students were also presented with information about the importance of health and balance in the esports environment. These sessions also focus on good sportsmanship and supporting others – Good Game GG.
Cairns SHS were successful with some really close battles between the competitors from all schools. The winner of the competition can travel to the Gold Coast to compete against other regions. Congratulations to Ryu for winning the competition and Arlo as runner up.
We look forward to the upcoming FUSE cup competing in Super Smash Bros against the other schools in Cairns.
Students have the opportunity to join in the next FUSE Cup- Super Smash Bros and practice Tuesday and Wednesday at first lunch. Teams will be determined in the next few weeks.
In Term 2, we will have the opportunity to build up opportunities for our Girls – with a GIRLS ONLY competition. I would love to invite any girls that would be interested in competing in Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. for this special event.
Students can participate in these lunchtime activities at these times.
